Having founded the church in Corinth, Paul is concerned when he hears of problems within the congregation and he writes this first letter to address the serious issues that have developed. He covers a myriad of topics, but while he admonishes his brothers and sisters in Christ, he does so with love and humility.
Paul’s words are as relevant and truthful today as they were when he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write them. Problems in the church are ongoing because all humans are sinners in need of a savior.
